About GetFeeMath
Last updated:
GetFeeMath is an independent publisher. It builds free calculators that turn marketplace fee schedules into one number: what a seller actually keeps from a sale.
Who runs it
The site is written and maintained by an independent publisher. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by Etsy, Shopify, Amazon or eBay, and none of those companies has any say in what appears here.
The site is funded by affiliate links to seller tools. If you follow one and later buy a paid plan, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. A commission never changes a calculated result. The full affiliate disclosure lists the partners and what they do and do not receive.
Why it exists
Fees are published one line at a time: a listing fee here, a payment rate there, an offsite ads cap somewhere else. Sellers usually end up doing that arithmetic in a spreadsheet, and usually after a sale has already happened.
Each calculator does the same arithmetic in the browser and shows the net figure directly, so the answer arrives before the pricing decision rather than after it.
Where the numbers come from
Every fee is stored together with the URL of the official page it was taken from and the date it was last checked against that page. Nothing is typed into the page copy: the figures a calculator renders and the “Rates last checked” date beneath it both come from that stored data, so a displayed number cannot drift away from its source.
How often they are re-checked
A figure is re-checked whenever the platform publishes a change. On top of that, a build-time check runs on every build and flags any figure that has gone more than 180 days without re-verification, so a stale number cannot ship quietly. The date at the bottom of each calculator is when its figures were last checked, not the day the page was built.
When we get it wrong
Fee pages move, and a rate that was right last month can be wrong today. If a figure looks off, email [email protected] with the calculator page, the number you expected and, if you have it, a link to the platform's own fee page. We check it against the official source, correct the stored data, and reply within 7 days.
What the site does not do
There are no accounts and no logins. Everything you type into a calculator stays in your browser: nothing is sent to us, because there is no server to send it to. The site does not give tax, legal or accounting advice, and every figure is an estimate of published fees — the platform's own invoice is the authority.
What is collected (analytics, and cookies set by affiliate partners) is described in the Privacy Policy, and the Terms of Use set out the limits of the estimates.
